This excursion is specially designed to live the Teide in a big way. You will make a magnificent journey through mountain roads, typical Canarian villages and incomparable landscapes. On your excursion you will be accompanied by an official guide, with whom you will get to know the most emblematic places of the Teide National Park, one of the most visited National Parks in the world. In addition, you will make a guided tour of the Observatory. The Teide Observatory is the largest solar observatory in the world, and its facilities house a wide variety of solar and night telescopes owned by several European countries. There you will receive an introduction to the importance of the Canary sky, what is astrophysics and how do astrophysicists investigate this center, observe sunspots and sun flares through solar telescopes and you will even have the opportunity to visit a night telescope inside. Do not miss it!

Suitable clothing and footwear according to season. In winter a sweater or light jacket is recommended.

Belangrijk:

Food not included. Guides available only in Spanish, English and / or German. Transfer is optional and must be requested prior reservation. The visit to the Teide Observatory does not admit children under 8 years old. In order to access to the Observatory, you need to have your own vehicle or to book the transport service. Access to the Observatory by bicycle is not allowed. If visitors plan to take a taxi to the Tenerife Observatory, they must take into account that the taxi has to go with them inside the facilities. There are 2 km distance from the meeting point on the barrier to the inside of the facilities, so the taxi must remain inside the facilties and wait until the activity ends.

Notice:

You must be at the entrance to the Observatory at least 15 minutes before the visit begins. If you do not arrive on time and the visit has already started you will not be able to enter the Observatory and you can visit on another day.

Is there a child's price?

Children of two and over usually use a seat and pay as adults, except on those excursions which specify a different price for them, in this case we will always state up to which age.

In general terms, on our excursions, all children from 2 - 11 years, will have a special price which is clearly indicated.

Are entrances to monuments, museums and/or other attractions included?

Normally not, although if the description of the chosen excursion says so, then yes, it will be included in the price. Our excursions, depending on the area, give different options and you can always choose which package you wish to buy.

Depending on the excursion and destination, entrances will be obtained and paid for in each place visited, given that sometimes prices differ depending on the person (e.g. Senior citizens, youth, students, large families etc.).

Having said that, it's recommended to always bring an identification document (with a photo) in order to prove age and circumstances, to be able to take advantage of discounts for children, senior citizens, students, large families, teachers, tourism professionals etc. which may be offered during visits to the monuments and/or museums foreseen in our itineraries.
